2nd AD, Art Director, Extras Casting Director
Hand Crank Films and All Mods Cons out of LA worked together to produce an amazing music video. We spent time in Seattle on the first day getting all of the footage with the two leads. As script supervisor and make-up in hand we traveled the streets for all of our urban walking scenes. Ending the day in Kress Market with a few talented dancers. Bright and early on day two we ran round Bellingham with little groups of dancers and our leads to capture the moments leading up to the epic flash mob scene. Little ballerinas in tutus, a hip hop group breakin it down and a sweet old couple enjoying each other's company.
Our final and biggest day just so happened to be on cinco de mayo. This was the day where all of our hard work in pre-production was coming to light. Being the casting director for all of our extras and dancers this is where my organizational skills began to shine. As the second AD and Art Director I had my work cut out for me. With over 70 dancers, a marching band, special characters and antique cars lining the streets it was time for all of the handmade confetti to make it's debut. All in all it was a great production and an honor to be apart of something so visually explosive.
