Grant Writing

In fall of 2011 I interned at the Womencare Shelter. Through this internship I researched grants and wrote letters of intent. In the process of researching grants I created a data base of grants that the Womencare Shelter should qualify for. I linked this to a yearly calendar and added submission deadlines and  important information about the grants. My goal was, that when I would leave the internship I would have created some kind of organizational system that will help them keep track of grants and something they can easily add to as more grants become available. 
In my last quarter at Western Washington University I attended a grant writing class at Farihaven. Through this class we had the opportunity to write a grant for a project that we are working on.
