WSSN Showcase (March 2013)![]() Bellingham Film Festivals has teamed up with the Washington State Studio Network, The Black Box Theatre at Edmonds Community College and The Pickford Film Center to bring you the first Showcase of films produced by Washington State Film Makers.
The 2012 Washington State Studio Network Showcase is a an opportunity to show the public content produced in Washington State. In addition to showing content that has already been produced, the showcase offers film makers an opportunity to show trailers for projects that they are currently seeking funding. Women Care Silent Auction (Feb 2012)![]() The Womencare Silent auction is comprised of three different auctions; a live auction, silent auction and a dessert dash auction. I was responsible for organizing the Dessert Dash.
For this portion of the event I was responsible for soliciting donations from local bakeries, coordinating pick up and or delivery, creating the overall display including the display cards. Overall of the auction brought in about $78,000. Of that $78,000 the dessert dash generated $14,000. All That Jazz and more...... (March 2011)![]() You are Invited!
Amy’s Place is hosting a Night of Music and Fun! Friday, March 4th from 7:00 – 11:00 pm at The Majestic, 1027 N. Forest St. B'ham I was involved in the planning by assisting Jeri Fletcher the volunteer coordinator. I created all of the print material including tickets, poster, handbills, silent auction brochure and print displays. For the actual event I was involved in set set up and take down. I during the silent auction I was in charge of supervising the event while Jeri and other volunteers focused on the silent auction portion of the event. Stencil Art Workshop (2010)![]() During the December 4th Downtown Gallery Walk the Center for Expressive Arts and Experiential Education hosted a Stencil Art Workshop with Brickhouse Art Studio. Aaron owner of Brickhouse Art Studio demonstrated the different techniques of stencil art as well as a live art demo. Community members got to create their own free stencil art.

Bleedingham Film Festival (Oct 2012)![]() Bellingham Film Festivals has organized a horror themed film festival just in time for the Halloween season. Bleedingham Film Festival is the first and only festival that caters to your bloodlust.
The Bleedingham Film Festival took place on the Saturday before Halloween, October 27, 2012 at 9:00pm at the Pickford Film Center in Bellingham, Washington. This new film festival featured short films that showcase the bloodcurdling creativity of filmmakers in the greater Bellingham area. A panel of NON-participating judges reviewed the films. Bloodies (Trophies) were awarded for Best Effects, Best Story, Best Director, Best Sound Design, Best Cinematography, Best Editing and Most Unique film. Select films have been picked up for wider distribution, Oct 30th, through the Washington State Studio Network. If you are a filmmaker specializing in the frightening, chilling and spooky, we invite you to get ready to submit your film for Bleedingham 2013. Submissions open this spring. Amy’s Place is hosting an Open House and Dessert Benefit Thursday, October 28th from 7:00 – 8:30 pm at Amy's Place, 1704 N. State St. B'ham My role in this event was primarily for advertising the event and helping out during the event. I provided the sound system and a recording of the event both video and audio. Poetry Night (2010)![]() On November 6th we kicked off a new partnership with P.I.P.E.. The Center for Expressive Arts & Experiential Education hosted a series of family friendly poetry nights with a variety of featured performances by local poets.
P.I.P.E (Poetry in Public Education) has provided poetry workshops and readings at schools around Whatcom and Skagit counties. Visit the poetrynight website for more information on upcoming features and events, poetry reviews and recommendations, and an extensive archive of live performances and interviews. I coordinated this event. I worked closely with a local organization called P.I.P.E and The Young Writers Studio. Poetry night developed into a series of events for the center that I was managing. |
